Rise and Go: Purpose Is Waiting

Devotional From The Sermon: From A Place of Pressure

Rev. Quishun Jenkins

Reading: Isaiah 60:1

Devotional:

After Gethsemane came the cross. After the cross came the resurrection. The progression matters. Jesus rose from prayer, looked at his disciples, and said, “Rise, let us go.” Purpose was not waiting for perfect conditions. It was waiting for a willing posture. You have been praying. You have been honest. You have surrendered. Now it is time to rise. The application you need to submit, the conversation you need to have, the step you have been postponing God is calling you forward. Prayer changes your posture before it changes your problem. The morning has come. The light is already here. What God promised, he will provide. Now rise and go get it.

Personal Reflection: What is one concrete step you have been delaying that prayer has been preparing you to take? Commit today to taking that step in faith
