Minister of Discipleship

Rev. Reggie is a native of Florida.  He is a recent graduate of Duke University School of Divinity and was a young adult minister.  Rev. Reggie loves working out and traveling and his favorite sports teams are the Miami Hurricanes, Dolphins and Heat! 

Julius Petway

Minister of Worship

Julius is called to use music to help advance Kingdom building through an authentic worship experience.  Julius looks forward to serving at BGC because of the Pastor’s vision and genuine spirit.  In his spare time, Julius loves to spend family time with my wife and children (Jewel and Zamar).

 

Min. Cynthia Jacko-Wise

Special Project Coordinator

With a Master’s in Divinity and Counseling, Min. Cynthia is passionate about holistic health in the community and making resources equally accessible to all. She’s married to her seminary sweetheart, Rev. Reggie Wise. They have one furry son, Pooh Bear Honeycomb Wise. This Louisiana native enjoys learning and educating others about natural hair care and eating crabs!

 

Suzette Aiken

Outreach Coordinator

Suzette was born and raised in Durham, NC. She attended North Carolina State University, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Education, go PACK! Suzette later attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she received dual Masters in School Counseling and Mental Health.  As a certified School Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Suzette is devoted to helping others thrive despite their trauma and life’s day to day stressors. In her spare time, Suzette enjoys gardening, watching sports, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, working out, and spoiling her pup, Louie Wes. In her professional work and personal life, Suzette is passionate about building community, creating connections, serving those in need, and empowering individuals to be their best selves!

Min. Katrina Tatum

Director of Ministries

Katrina is a native of eastern North Carolina and resides in Wake Forest with her husband Russ, children, and dog Ink. She is pursuing her M.Div. at Campbell University Divinity School. She has a great passion for incorporating her formal training in the disciplines of Project, Change, Process, and Risk Management in helping churches develop healthy systems through her work as a consultant with Ministry Architects. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time in nature

 

Lori Aboulmouna

Church Administrator & Engagement Specialist

Lori is an Alaska native, but calls the DMV her home.  She is a graduate of Morgan State University with a degree in Psychology.  She loves to serve and encourage others.  She enjoys reading and spending quality time with family. Her favorite team is the SF 49ers!

 

Deacon Sylvia Jones

Youth Curriculum Specialist

Sylvia is a former high school Physical Education Teacher and Coach, Camp Leader and community mentor.  She loves working with young people.  Her favorite candy is Peanut M&M’s.

Rochelle Woodson

Finance Administrator

Rochelle is a native of North Carolina and resides in Raleigh. She is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a degree in Accounting.  She is a plant enthusiast, crafts junkie and an advocate for healthy living.  She enjoys volunteering and encouraging others. She believes that with God, all things are possible to them that believe.

Sandy Stuart

Office Assistant

Sandy enjoys the opportunity to meet and serve members of the congregation.  She is originally from Philadelphia and loves to spend time with her family at the beach!

 

Therrion Jones

Media Specialist

Therrion is a NC native raised in Wilson, NC. He attended High Point University, pursuing a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Media Production and Entrepreneurship. Recently, he graduated with a Master’s in Communication and Business Leadership from High Point University. As a creative and artist, he enjoys time drawing, writing poems, and developing story-centered videos. Moreover, with the gifts given to him, he uses them to be a light to those around him and proclaim the gospel and the goodness of God. And his favorite movie is The Green Mile, the best movie of all time; no debate.

Marrilynn Johnson

Youth Ministry Administrator

In September 1998, under the mentorship of Minister Patricia Duncan of Shekinah Glory Ministry. Marrilynn began World Mission Bible College and in July 2002, she accepted the call of God in her life (Isaiah 61: 1-3).   Her love for both the saved and the lost, God moved her from World Mission to be active in her duties as a Minister in her community of Virginia with United Faith Christian Ministry in Feb. 2004 and was used prophetically on the Ministry team. In 2005, God opened a door for her to go back to school at North Carolina Central University where she received her Bachelor Degree 2010 in Criminal Justice Counseling.  Where she had an opportunity to do an internship at Fulton Juvenile Facility in Atlanta Georgia and it really confirmed why she long to be a part of inspiring as well as giving guidance to youth and their family.

  After receiving her degree Marrilynn relocated back to the Washington D.C. area where she continued her service with World Mission Ministry.  Until 2019 when God led her to Raleigh North Carolina where she joined Baptist Grove Church and completed her Master Degree program October 2021 for Youth and Family Ministry  at Grand Canyon University Phoenix AZ (online).
