Devotional:

The word “provision” carries within it the idea of seeing beforehand. The prefix “pro” means before, and “vision” means to see. When God provides, he is not reacting to your crisis, he is revealing what he already arranged before you arrived at the mountain. As the sermon puts it, “as Abraham was coming up one side of the mountain, on the other side of the mountain, God had the ram coming up.” Your obedience and God’s provision are on a collision course. They will meet at the place God has appointed. Your assignment is not to manufacture the ram. Your assignment is to keep walking. Trust that what you cannot see, God has already seen and already supplied.

Personal Reflection:

In what area of your life do you need to trust that God has already provided what you cannot yet see? Spend time today meditating on the name Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides.
