NextGen Ministries at BGC
The Next Generation (NextGen) ministries of Baptist Grove Church are made up of three ministries including, Discovery Kids (Toddlers-5th Grade), Immersion Youth (6th Grade-12th Grade), and Abide Emerging Adults (Ages 18-24). This family of ministries exists to ensure that the next generation of believers are given a strong foundation in Christ, immersed in the Word of God, and remain grounded in faith as they transition into adulthood.
NextGen Leadership
Minister Jordan DeVeaux
With a ministry journey that began at age 14, Min. Jordan DeVeaux brings a vibrant, youthful energy to her role as Next Generation Minister. She holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University and a background in psychology, uniquely preparing her to guide students through the intersections of faith, mental health, and social impact. From serving as a Student Government President to her work in clinical chaplaincy, Jordan’s diverse experiences empower her to mentor the next generation toward an authentic relationship with Christ. She is passionate about helping every young person discover their purpose and live to serve from the pulpit to the public square.
NextGen Ministries
The Crossover
Starting May 2026, Discovery Kids will be launching The Crossover, an intentional discipleship experience designed specifically for 4th and 5th graders who are navigating the “in-between” stage of growing up—no longer little kids, but not quite teens yet. Meeting on 1st–3rd Sundays during children’s church at 10AM, this new program creates a more focused and age-appropriate environment for faith maturation! Through engaging lessons, meaningful conversations, and intentional community, The Crossover aims to help preteens deepen their faith, build confidence, and prepare for the next step in their spiritual journey.
