Sermon Series: The Christ of a Comeback

Sermon Title: A Comeback from Death

Reading: John 11:28-37

Faith doesn’t require complete understanding. The disciples questioned Jesus’ delay. Martha challenged His timing. The crowd doubted His compassion. Yet Jesus was orchestrating something greater than anyone comprehended. You may not understand why God allows certain trials, why prayers seem unanswered, or why deliverance feels delayed. But believing in Jesus means trusting His plan even when it doesn’t make sense. Martha said, “If you had been here…” expressing her confusion about God’s timing. But Jesus was working toward glory, not just comfort. When you can’t trace God’s hand, trust His heart. Your limited perspective cannot see how God is weaving every thread together. Keep believing—even in the mess, even in the wait, even when it hurts. Glory is coming to your story.

Reflection Question: What situation requires you to trust God’s heart when you can’t understand His plan?
