Devotional From The Sermon: The Cry For Help (Part 1)

Devotional:

Paul had a clear purpose: to preach the gospel, but he needed divine direction about where to go. In a vision, he heard a simple cry: “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Paul recognized this cry for help as God’s compass pointing him toward his next assignment. All around us, people are crying for help, through hunger, homelessness, mental illness, addiction, and despair.

Can you hear their cries? God may be using these cries to direct you toward your purpose. You might be the answer to someone’s prayer, the provision they’ve been seeking, the hope they desperately need. Listen carefully today. What cries for help is God placing on your heart? Those cries may be your compass into God’s will.
