Trials do not arrive with an invitation. They barge in uninvited, bringing sorrow and disorientation in their wake. Yet Peter writes to believers who are suffering and calls them to rejoice. This is not a call to pretend the pain is not real. It is a call to see beyond it. The same fire that destroys counterfeit faith is the fire that proves genuine faith. God is not absent in your furnace. He is present and purposeful. Ask yourself today: Is my faith leather or pleather? Genuine faith does not ignite and collapse under pressure. It endures, and in enduring, it shines.

Personal Reflection: What trial are you currently facing that God may be using to prove and strengthen the genuineness of your faith?

Practical Application: Write down one specific way your faith has grown stronger because of a difficulty you have already walked through. Let that testimony anchor your trust in God today.
