Becoming the Answer
Devotional From The Sermon: The Cry For Help (Part 1)
Rev. Dr. Bankole Akinbinu
Reading: Esther 4:12-17
Devotional:
Mordecai challenged Esther with powerful words: “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther’s position, resources, and influence weren’t accidents; they were divine appointments. God had strategically placed her to be the answer to her people’s desperate prayers. The same is true for you. Your job, your neighborhood, your relationships, your resources…none of it is accidental.
God has positioned you strategically to be His answer to someone’s cry. You may be the hands that rebuild broken walls, the voice that speaks liberation, or the resources that meet desperate needs. Spiritual maturity means understanding that God’s purpose for your life extends beyond your personal comfort. Today, surrender everything to God and pray: “Use me, Lord, to be an answer to somebody’s prayer.”
Reflection:
- For what “such a time as this” has God positioned you?
