For those attending BGC Live, please read this construction notice from Martin Marietta Center:
We want to inform you that Lichtin Plaza, the exterior plaza of the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts is set to undergo construction beginning this month. Demolition will start the week of September 22, and the work is scheduled to be completed by March 2026.
Lichtin Plaza Enhancements include:
- Addition of accessible wheelchair ramps into Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
- Designated drop-off lane for vehicles.
- Re-designed greenspace and seating areas.
A map of the area is attached— the red highlight shows the fence line which will be blocked off to foot traffic for Phase 1.
Throughout the construction period, we are committed to ensuring continued accessibility:
- ADA-accessible routes will be clearly marked and maintained at all times.
- On-site personnel will be available to assist with entry and navigation as needed.
- Signage and directional guidance will be prominently displayed to help direct foot traffic safely around the work zone.
For ticketed events, this information will be included in our “Know Before You Go” emails.
As the project progresses, we will share updates on the impact of the fence line.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve the plaza and overall guest experience.
