Saturday Parking & Transportation Logistics
BGC, we called 200—and YOU responded! Thank you for showing up and answering the call to be part of the ONE Wake Assembly this Saturday!
Parking:
Please plan to park at Sycamore Creek Elementary School (10921 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613). Due to multiple events happening at St. Francis of Assisi (11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613), parking there will be limited.
You have two options:
- BGC Shuttle: The BGC vans will shuttle participants from Sycamore Creek Elementary School to the event entrance at St. Francis of Assisi and back to the school following the Assembly.
- Walk: You may also walk approximately two blocks from the school to St. Francis of Assisi. (See map below.)
If someone is dropping you off: The driver may drop you at the event entrance and then proceed to park at Sycamore Creek Elementary School.
Thank you for showing up, BGC! Let’s make our presence count
On Saturday, September 19 at 1:00 PM, we’re calling on 200 Baptist Grove Church members to show up for the next ONE Wake Action Meeting — and this month, we’re taking action on affordable housing.
Why does this matter?
Because people should be able to live where they work, raise their families, and remain part of the communities they call home. We cannot continue operating within the same systems, hoping developers will choose to set aside a small portion of housing for people who want to live and work here.
Housing at every affordability level is an investment in a thriving community.
When people are spending more than 30% of their income on housing, they are spending resources that could otherwise support their families, health, education, transportation, and local economy. And in Wake County, more than 1 in 4 households are already experiencing this burden.
This is about more than housing. It’s about whether our community remains a place where people can afford to live, work, worship, and thrive.
Location: Catholic Community of Saint Francis of Assisi, 11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC
