Sermon Series: The Christ of a Comeback

Sermon Title: A Comeback from Death

Reading: John 11:45-57; Romans 6:1-14

Lazarus emerged from death still bound in grave clothes—unable to walk freely or speak clearly. Jesus commanded, “Loose him and let him go.” Resurrection is just the beginning; you must also experience liberation. Many believers are spiritually alive but still wrapped in grave clothes of their past—bound by shame, limited by old identities, silenced by fear. God wants you completely free. He needs your hands to serve, your mouth to testify, your feet to walk in purpose. You cannot fulfill your calling while wrapped in yesterday’s bondage. Let Jesus—and His community—unwrap you. Allow trusted believers to help remove what restricts you. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to you. You’re not just saved from death; you’re freed for abundant life. Walk in your liberation today.

Reflection Question: What “grave clothes” from your past still restrict your freedom in Christ, and who can help you remove them?

Closing Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You are the resurrection and the life. I believe that with You, nothing is impossible. Remove every stone of resistance in my heart. Enter my broken places, my painful places, my shameful places. Speak life where there is death. Bring hope where there is despair. Loose me from every binding of my past and let me walk in the freedom You purchased for me. I trust Your timing, Your plan, and Your power. In Your mighty name, Amen.
