Description:

The BGC Cares Ministry aims to spread love and encouragement to every member, ensuring everyone feels seen and cared for by their church family. This ministry encompasses six distinct teams, each dedicated to providing support in unique ways.

BGC Cares includes: Care Card Team; One to Another (Visitation) Team, Bereavement Team, Yarns of Love (Knitting/Crocheting) Team, Check-In Team, and Season of Grief Team.

BGC Cares includes six teams:

•Foster a caring church community by sharing Christ’s love through handwritten or digital cards

•Support grieving members by attending funerals, offering condolences, and providing comfort through calls during difficult times

•Provide care to the homebound, hospitalized, or in assisted living through in-person, virtual, or phone visits (visits governed by Diaconate Ministry approval and background checks)

•Create knitted and crocheted items that provide care and comfort to BGC members during significant life transitions

•Perform unengaged-member wellness checks via phone call, text or email

•Assist individuals navigating a season of grief in processing their emotions and rediscovering relief, comfort, and peace of mind.
