Join us in fighting food insecurity
Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
This Thanksgiving, BGC’s Life Harvest Food Pantry is preparing to provide 320 families with a complete Thanksgiving meal, and we’re already seeing generosity in action!
A special THANK YOU to @Butterball for donating all 320 turkeys and @rollingrefrigeration for generously providing a portable freezer to store them! Their partnership is helping us make room at the table for our neighbors. 🧡
Now, BGC Family, it’s YOUR turn to help fill the rest of the table!
- GIVE: Donate Thanksgiving sides and meal essentials.
- SERVE: Volunteer to help collect, pack, and distribute meals.
- PRAY: Lift up the families we’ll serve and everyone helping make this possible.
About LHFP
The Life Harvest Food Pantry at BGC is committed to sharing the love of Christ and doing our part to fight food insecurity. We provide food, hygiene, and household items to those in need within our community. The Life Harvest food pantry is open to members and non-members of Baptist Grove Church.
The Life Harvest Food Pantry plays a pivotal role in addressing food insecurity. This sustained food distribution effort provides consistent, nutritious meals to families in need by partnering with local farms and grocers, and mobilizing volunteers to distribute fresh produce, pantry staples, and culturally relevant food items. Rooted in the church’s commitment to addressing the pillars of food insecurity, the pantry also fosters community engagement, raises awareness.
Through these efforts, the Life Harvest Food Pantry stands as a beacon of hope, ensuring that no family goes hungry and that the church’s outreach reflects the heart of Christ’s teachings.
Sunday Distribution
On two Sundays each month, as food items are available, the Life Harvest Food Pantry will offer a food distribution opportunity immediately following worship.
- TIME: Immediately after the 10am service
- LOCATION: Outside the MUF under the tent
- FOR: BGC members and Sunday visitors
A pantry representative will be available to provide pre-packaged food bags for members of our faith community or for anyone you know who may be in need.
Together, we can be the hands and feet of Christ, meeting both spiritual and physical needs.
