March Missions

A BGC Outreach initiative where everyone wins!

About March Missions

This March, we are stepping boldly into March Missions, a month-long season of service and community rooted in our 2026 theme, Free Indeed! From our Canned Food Drive to the Feed the Hunger Pack-a-Thon to Together Community Day, we have powerful opportunities ahead to live in faith, live in fellowship, and live to serve those in our community.

Canned Food Drive

Starting March 1st and running through March 31st, we are collecting canned goods for the Life Harvest Food Pantry. Here’s how to participate:

1 – Find Your Generation

Look for the color-coded Generational Boxes in the vestibule — each generation has its own collection box:

  • Silent Generation (Gray Box) — Ages 80–97
  • Baby Boomers (Orange Box) — Ages 62–79
  • Generation X (Purple Box) — Ages 46–61
  • Millennials (Blue Box) — Ages 30–45
  • Generation Z (Yellow Box) — Ages 14–29
  • Generation Alpha (Green Box) — Ages 13 and younger
2 – Shop & Drop (or Ship)!

Drop-off is available here at church, and for our BGC Anywhere family – don’t you worry, pick an item from the Life Harvest Food Pantry Amazon list and send it over with your generation on the memo line.

Watch for an e-message from the church with a full list of accepted items and a link to an Amazon shopping list to make giving easy!

3 – Serve & Support

We need volunteers to help collect, count, and score donations each week. If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please sign up for inventory, each Thursday for the Life Harvest Food Pantry!

Feed the Hunger Pack-A-Thon

On Saturday, March 21st, we will partner with Feed the Hunger for a Pack-a-thon right here at Baptist Grove! This is a high-energy, family-friendly event where we will pack meals together that will be distributed to families in need.

All volunteers must complete a waiver before serving.

Together Community Day

We close out March Missions in a powerful way — on Saturday, March 28th, join us for Together Community Day! This free community event will take place right here, and it is open to ALL — members, neighbors, and anyone who wants to experience the love of this church family.

We will be offering:

  • Health Screenings — via the Baptists on a Mission Medical Bus and NC Nursing Student Volunteers
  • Dental Education & Cleanings
  • Mental Health Screenings
  • Gaming Station
  • World Vision Distribution

Be sure to invite your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members who have never walked through our doors. This is how we show that God is calling us to be Free Indeed.

Every Effort Counts

Throughout March Missions, your participation earns points for your generation. Here is how the scoring works:
