Devotional:

In the midnight hour of life, when tears blur your vision and sorrow weighs down your heart, one truth stands unmoved: God will not leave you. Hebrews 13:5 records God’s unbreakable promise that He will never abandon His people. Psalm 27:13-14 captures the posture of a soul that has chosen to believe in God’s goodness even while waiting for it to be seen. The word “lest” in Psalm 27:13 suggests the Psalmist was close to fainting. He was not immune to despair. But he chose to believe. That choice sustained him. Your choice to believe today will sustain you as well.

Have you allowed the length of your waiting season to erode your confidence in God’s presence and goodness?

Practical Application:

Identify one moment in your past when God showed up in an undeniable way. Spend five minutes in prayer today recounting that moment to God as an act of gratitude and renewed trust.
