What You Carry and What You Leave
Devotional From The Sermon: Dreaming Beyond Our Days
Rev. Rev. Dr. Bankole Akinbinu
Reading: Exodus 13:19; Revelation 12:11
Devotional:
Israel carried Joseph’s bones through the wilderness for forty years. Those bones were a physical reminder of a spoken promise that God would be faithful to bring his people home. In the darkest seasons of their journey, that testimony mattered. Your story of God’s faithfulness — how he lifted you, healed you, provided for you, and kept you — is something the next generation needs to carry. Do not remain silent about what God has done in your life. Your testimony is not just yours. It belongs to your children, your grandchildren, and every generation that will follow. Speak it. Write it down. Pass it on.
Personal Reflection:
- What testimony of God’s faithfulness do you need to share more often?
- Who needs to hear the story of how God lifted, healed, provided for, protected, or restored you?
