BGC Devotionals

Day 6 – Saturday July 25th

Muli bwanji? (How are you?)

God calls us to remember those who feel trapped or forgotten, just as Jesus said in Matthew 25:36, “I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Today, listen to the story of Nored and Esnat, two people held captive not by walls, but by their own mindset. Hear how they escaped and recognized their God-given identity and worth.

Their journey reminds us that true freedom begins when we see ourselves, and others, through God’s eyes.

Day 6 – Devotional Experience: For today’s challenge, take a prayer walk through your community.

As you walk, lift up prayers for the people, places, and situations in need of the redemption and freedom that only Jesus can bring.

As you walked and prayed in your community today, what did you sense about God’s boundless love for those in bondage?

How is He inviting you to see them, not through the lens of their past or struggles, but through His eyes of mercy, grace, and restoration?

Spend a moment talking or journaling through how you can remember your connection with God’s heart for those held captive and the way He has inspired hope within you.

Thank you for joining the Chosen Devotional Experience this week!

While this devotional journey is coming to a close, God’s work in your life continues. He’s still moving, still speaking, and still calling you deeper.

Celebrate what He’s revealing to you and take the next step by showing up at church. There’s more ahead, and you don’t want to miss it!
