Christmas Light Drive Thru
In a world today that still appears to be shrouded in darkness, the light has come. As light and light bearers, we have the privilege and the obligation to let our lights shine so that people might see our good works and glorify the Father in heaven. Christmas is a perfect time to do just that. With lights on our trees, lights on our bushes, lights in our homes, lights around our house, and yes, this year prayerfully, lights throughout our church campus, we will share with a community of people dwelling in darkness, THE great light, the light of Christ!
For the month of December, we are going to “let our light shine”! A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Help us to shine the light of Christ on the BGC Hill this Christmas as we work to place lights on every tree, every bush, and every building. Let’s remind our community that “the light [still] shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).
Just as the light of God appeared over the manger, led the shepherds to where Jesus was, guided the wise men to the house where Jesus dwelled, may our Christmas lights on the hill, and the love of God in our hearts, guide many to a church that worships the Savior!
