Ministry: Immersion Youth Ministry

Team Lead: Marrilynn Johnson, Deacon Sylvia Jones, and Ishmael Strickland

Virtual or On-Site: In Person and Virtual

Volunteer Job Description:

Purpose: To teach youth about the Savior, who He is, who He can be to them and help them grow in faith. “”Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Instead, set an example for the believers through your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12

 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Small Group Leaders – Coordinate small group meetings in such a way as to lead the group to grow deeper in Christ. 
  • AV – Help capture video and photo footage of various youth services and events
  • Event planners – Partner with the Youth Ministry Coordinator to help organize annual event logistics, including registration, attendee tracking, pre/post event evaluations, managing and overseeing events on the day of and event set-up and take-down.
  • AWANA Games Director – Oversee game planning and execution for the AWANA club members
  • Social Media – Partner with Ministry Content Creative to enhance the social media platform 

Requirements to Serve: 

  • Have a heart and passion for youth!
  • Background check
  • Training for each position happens while serving. 

Volunteer Needs: 

  • Small Group Leaders and Mentors
  • AV (video and photography footage)
  • Event planners
  • AWANA Games Director
  • Social Media 

Time Commitment:

  • Sunday Service support  – 2 hours
  • Ministry meetings – 1 hour 
  • Special Events – time may vary
